I finally made it

It has been a long time coming but I finally graduated. I officially have way too many hours of studying, clinical time, tears shed and hours of stress applied to my body but I have two degrees to be proud of.

I have come a very long way, but to me, it seems like it was just an everyday task. The stress and the constant worrying about my classes and what was due next and what assignment I needed to work on, all part of the college career and my daily routine for the past 7 years!

I graduated from a local community college in 2015 getting an associates degree in Radiologic Technology, making me a radiologic technologist at a local hospital. I have been working part time while going to school full time at a university in my town. I graduated on Sunday with my Bachelors in Biological Sciences to open many other doors to the career path I hope to pursue.

Through all of that talk of stress I’m sure many of you have realized I need a mental health break, so that is exactly what I plan to do. That, and the fact that the application cycle for the next school I want to get into doesn’t come again until next May. So for now, I will be focusing all of my time and energy on this house I have been so eager to start work on!

We will be closing early next week and after my post about The slowest 60 days EVER! I have come to realize time really does fly! Especially when you are occupying your time with other things! I have bought many things for this house and we haven’t even closed on it yet, but I am EXTREMELY ready to begin this next step in our lives.

The graduating part hasn’t hit me quite yet, so many people keep saying what a huge accomplishment it is and how proud they are of me, and like I said, it seemed to be such a daily routine that I barely feel like it even happened. I am proud of myself but I can’t seem to grasp the fact that I’ll never have to set foot on campus again if I don’t want to. Its amazing to me that so many people are so proud of me and I cant seem to be proud of myself yet. I’m sure it will hit, and I will realize the great stepping stone this has proven to be. I am proud to say I am now alumni, and I know this degree will and has already given me so many opportunities.

Onto the next. Always moving forward to bigger and better. We got this!

Anyone else have any great accomplishments that have happened thus far in 2019? Share below! I’d love to read and enjoy your accomplishments with you!

Until next time,

-L
