Looking ahead

This year is already filled with plenty of things I know I will get to do. I will be traveling quite a bit, we plan to buy a house in the spring (hopefully), I will be graduating with my Bachelors degree and my best friend is getting married!

So many wonderful things to look forward to yet I constantly find myself worrying if I can afford it all. It makes me super nervous and constantly looking for a second job but I need to remind myself that school is the most important right now. Although I do make good money I don’t work enough hours to see it benefit me, but I know that if I do work more hours my schooling may slack and my GPA will take a hit.

There is never a good in-between for all of this growing up I am about to do this year but I need to keep telling myself this year is going to be a GOOD year! It will be a successful and happy one!

So when I immediately begin to fret over money and debt and all the good things in life (rolls eyes), I need to remember I have such a great support system behind me and I know they are all there for me as much as I am for them. So, bring it on, I’m ready to crush my goals and plans for this year. Starting with my debt!

We’ve all got this! Beginning the year with a resolution is not always the easiest thing, clearly. Changing your daily routine and lifestyle to create a better you, its tough! With all that being said it will also 100% be WORTH IT! So as I am doing for myself I urge everyone to push yourselves and get out of your comfort zone because going through daily tasks aimlessly will honestly lead you nowhere. You need to create your own opportunities for yourself! Make 2019 a year to remember for the good reasons, not for the bad!

Anyone else have any positive thoughts about this new year and looking ahead? Or maybe looking back! Maybe looking back has made you realize something needs to change! Comment below and share!!

Until next time,

-L

  1. I completely freak over money! Just remember that your education is an investment. Once you graduate and get an appropriate job for yourself, the finances will follow. And you’ll be doing what you enjoy! Just put your anxiety on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope with “God’s got this!” on the outside. Then get back to doing what you have some control over. It’s all good! 🙂

    1. I love this response, thank you so much for your advice, I may be following it sooner than I expect. I appreciate you reading and responding and showing you are going through some of the same things.

  2. I know it’s easier said than done, but everything will always fall into place after you graduate. The greatest investment you can make is yourself and you’re doing all of the right things. It’s such a huge milestone achieving a bachelors degree. YOU GOT THIS! Keep remaining positive and enjoy the journey. I think the theme of 2019 will be the year of growth of achievements, so I’m keeping a positive outlook that things can only go up from here!

  3. Money is always on my mind no matter how much I may have. It is such a stressful concept and I admire your honesty! It seems as though most people just go about their days living to work. I’m glad to see that some of us don’t plan to do that and look forward to living life! Thank you for the great read.
